Business portraits and head shots for DataCentred, Media City, Salford
On a rare summers day when the sun shone I tripped down to Media City, Salford where DataCentred are based. The commission was to create a series of head shots and business portraits for all the staff currently working at the site near Salford Quays. After shooting head shots at the main business premises we took off to incorporate the stunning new architecture of Media City and the nearby Salford Quays and Imperial War Museum North.
Manchester head shots and business portraits.
Manchester University graduate, Dr Mike Kelly is a tech entrepreneur with a hugely successful track record in the data centre industry. He launched TeleCity in 1998 and resigned as deputy chairman nine years later. He has set up new venture DataCentred and has signed-up for 32,000 sq ft of space at Michigan Park, in a deal with landlord Peel. The firm has signed a 15-year lease and will occupy the former Fujitsu Services unit at the Salford Quays location. Fujitsu agreed to surrender its lease earlier, paving the way for DataCentred to step in. Data centres store racks of computer servers in a controlled setting for businesses. There is increased demand for data centres due to more businesses storing their data in ‘the cloud’, rather than on their premises.
